International Student Orientation

Designed specifically with the needs of international students in mind, International Orientation will allow students to become familiar with campus services and academic resources prior to the start of classes.  All students, both those who have never been to the United States and those who have resided in the U.S. for a few years, will benefit from the orientation program. The goal of orientation is to introduce you to the resources that will support your academic, personal and professional success at Marist.

During orientation, you will be introduced to learning platforms that will enhance your academic experience.  Additionally, you will tour the campus to familiarize yourself with relevant offices, services, and classrooms.  Finally, you will meet the Marist International Student Ambassadors.  The International Student Ambassadors will guide you during orientation.  They will answer questions for you, lead you in fun activities and games, and give you tips to help you navigate your new life at Marist College.

Orientation is mandatory for all international students.  We have found that students who attend orientation make their transition to college life more quickly than those who do not.  Additionally, students who attend orientation are better prepared to succeed academically and emotionally.  The expectation is that students will attend all International Orientation sessions.

There is a fee of $130 USD for the orientation program.  The fee includes housing and meals.

A full orientation schedule will be emailed to you prior to your arrival on campus.

We will look forward to meeting you.
